About CelebrateNewton CelebrateNewton celebrates the work of outstanding artisans who are residents of Newton or are in some other way connected to the city. Over 50 artisans display and sell their work at the fair; they include weavers, jewelers, quilters, potters, printers, photographers and more. A highlight of the event each year is live music provided by local musicians. The event was founded in 2002 by local card artist and mom, Sara Coen, as a fund-raiser for the Newton Schools Foundation, which sponsored the event through 2009. Newton Community Education (NCE) has been the event sponsor since 2010.
About Newton Community Education (NCE) NCE is a self-sustaining arm of the Newton Public Schools, open to all students, regardless of residence.
